If this is your first time in Tanzania, start with Safari and Zanzibar. It is the route most of our guests drive, with the Serengeti, the crater and then rest by the sea.
If you are travelling with children, choose the family safari. The same parks, but with shorter drives and more time in each place.
If you want to see the great migration, it depends on the month. From January to March the wildebeest are in the southern Serengeti and the calves are born, and from July to October they cross the river in the north. The migration safari runs nine days and follows the herds.
If you would rather not spend all of it in the car, the Lake Natron trek is the trip. You walk the rim of the Empakai Crater and along Lake Natron, before you drive into the Serengeti.
If you already know the north, or you want a safari with no other vehicles around you, go south. Nyerere for the water, Ruaha for the wilderness.
And if you have just married, the honeymoon is yours, with lodges that suit two people who have all the time in the world.
You travel privately, in your own Landcruiser with your own guide, and nobody in the car but your own party, up to seven people. Your guide stays with you for the whole safari, from the first game drive to the last.
Most routes start in Moshi or at Kilimanjaro Airport and run through the north, Tarangire or Lake Manyara first, then the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater. After that you fly to Zanzibar or home. How many days you need depends on what you want to see, and most of our trips run around two weeks.
Transfers, meals and park fees are in the price, and we arrange all of it in advance.
