How to book a safari in Tanzania
Booking a safari with us takes a few steps. You tell us what you want, we make a proposal, we adjust it until it is right, and you book. Then we arrange the rest and tell you in good time what you need to do yourself. From first question to departure usually takes a few weeks to a few months.
1. You tell us what you want
Through the form, by email or on a call. When you want to go, how many of you, what you want to see and roughly what you want to spend. If you do not know yet, that is fine. That is what we are here for.
2. We call or email you back
Usually the same working day. We ask a few questions, so we know who we are planning for.
3. You get a proposal
A day-by-day programme with the route, the camps and the price. With one clear recommendation and our reasons for it. Not a menu of ten options.
4. We adjust it
An extra night, a different camp, a day earlier to the sea. We move things around until it is right.
5. We check availability
Before you book, we check that the camps have room on your dates. We promise nothing we have not checked.
6. You book
You confirm and pay a deposit. That secures your trip, and we reserve everything.
7. You book your flight
You arrange your international flight yourself. Most trips start at Kilimanjaro. Wait to book it until your trip is confirmed, because the days your flight operates help decide how the programme runs.
8. You get the email with what you arrange yourself
Once you have booked, you receive an email with every step in one place: passport, visa, the mandatory travel insurance, vaccinations and malaria, with the right links included.
9. Before you leave
You receive your final programme, with who collects you and where you sleep each night. You know what to bring, see our packing list.
10. You land
Your guide is waiting outside with your name on a board. From there, we take over.
What to check with any safari company
Ask who your guide will be, who drives the vehicle, and whether the company you pay is the same company that runs your trip. With us it is. We live in Moshi, we drive our own vehicles and we know everyone who drives for us personally.
Start with step 1
Tell us when you want to travel and who with. Or look around our itineraries first, so you know what is possible.
