Mikumi National Park

Mikumi National Park

Nestled between Udzungwa Mountains National Park and Nyerere National Park, Mikumi is one of the most scenic parks in Tanzania. The rolling hills dotted by trees and vast expanses of grassland make for beautiful photos and beautiful memories. The park is populated with elephants, leopards, giraffes, buffalos, zebras, lions, wildebeest, various antelope species and some 400 bird species. In the north of the park there are hippo pools. Apart from the resident hippo population, the pools attract a lot of activity from the wildlife, especially during the dry season as they guarantee water for most of the antelopes and predators. The park is an exciting attraction that offers the prospect of truly memorable game sightings.
